Great week for Three Counties runners
Three Counties running club members have enjoyed a very successful week.
Firstly, club member Andi Woolley tackled an Olympic Triathlon in Bahrain. The event consisted of a 1.5km swim and 40km cycle, finishing with a 10km run.
The race started with an open sea swim, with two-foot high waves making it difficult. Once successfully through the transition, it was the bike course, before an out-and-back run.
Andi had an incredible event, finishing 17th out of 159 participants and second in age with a chip time of 2:25:52 securing his third podium in three races.
Then, at Wisbech parkrun, Rickie Trundle and Alfie Grant claimed first and second place out of 92 runners.
