With Rugby Borough losing 3-0 at home to Daventry Town and Aylestone Park's home game against Hinckley being abandoned, the Hares are now just three points behind the teams sitting second and third in the table.

On Tuesday night, March are back in cup action as they host runaway league leaders St Neots in the semi-finals of the Hinchingbrooke Cup (7.45pm) - a competition they won last season.

They follow it up with a trip to Northampton Sileby Rangers in the league next Saturday.

Wisbech Town, meanwhile, were brought back down to earth in the UCL Premier Division North after picking up four points from their last two fixtures.

Harry Limb haunted his former club by scoring four of the five goals while Luke Wilson also found the back of the net.

The Poachers led 2-0 at the break before finding the back three more times in the second half.

The Fenmen remain eight points clear of the relegation spots and return to home action next weekend when they host Belper United at Fountain Fresh Park.

In the Thurlow Nunn First Division North, Whittlesey Athletic left it late before returning home with all three points from their clash at Wivenhoe Town.

Matthew Heron was on target after 87 minutes as the Dragons were beaten for the first time in five outings by a Whittlesey side who delivered a superb display on their travels.

There were no goals in the clash between Parson Drove and Haverhill Borough.

Drove, who travel to Whitton United next Saturday, remain tenth in the table with 37 points from their 27 games so far.
