March Ladies FC team denied Wisbech St Mary 5-a-Side final on penalties

March Town Ladies FC had two teams in the Wisbech St Mary 5-a-Side Tournament on Sunday.

The Hares Blues, all youngsters, did really well and were unlucky not to make the quarter-final stage despite some strong performances.

The Hares Blacks remained unbeaten in the league stage and lost to Haverhill in the semi-final, after leading until the final 20 seconds.

Manager Gary Davis said: “They lost on penalties after it finished 1-1 but it was a great day out for all involved.”
