Emma Baker cooks up Wisbech Ladies hockey 2nds four goals in 9-1 Spilsby triumph
Spilsby 1 Wisbech Ladies 2’s 9
After a break last week due to cancellation, Wisbech still looked very sharp from the start of the first half, moving the ball confidently from one side to the other and round the back.
Goals started to come quickly with five scored in the first half.
The second half started much the same with the whole side putting in a great performance but a lack of concentration and tiredness let the home side get a consolation goal.
The Spilsby goalkeeper kept the score down in an inspired display.
Goals: Emma Baker 4, Oliwia Bolka 2, Lou Sandall, Lucy Prior and Alana Pritchard.
PoM: Emma Baker: playing as always with determination and commitment and fantastic work upfront.
Wisbech are already promoted but are determined to win this league with two games left and a point ahead.

Hosting their penultimate league game of the season, Wisbech got into their stride early on with a short corner that was buried by Nicola Greville.
Despite numerous attacking plays Wisbech were not able to find the back of the net.
Wisbech dominated the game, but midway through the second half ten-woman Huntingdon got an equaliser from a penalty corner that bobbled over the back line despite stand in junior goalie Jess Barker’s best efforts to keep it out.
PoM: Hetty Hoyles.
Many thanks to Neale-Wade for accommodating home matches.
