March victory at Aylestone Park leaves Hares chasing a top-three finish ahead of Leicester Nirvana visit in the United Counties League Premier Division South
March Town assistant boss Simon Roberts hasn't discounted a top-three finish in the United Counties Premier South with a month of the season left to play.
Ash Taylor's side pulled off the result of the day at the weekend, winning 3-0 at second-place Aylestone Park
With just four games remaining, the fourth-placed Hares are now seven points clear of Coventry United, who head the pack chasing the play-off places.
They are also level on points with Rugby Borough, who sit third with a game in hand, but know that if they could achieve a third-place finish it would give them home advantage in the play-off semi-final.
Leicester Nirvana are the visitors to the GER on Saturday, and with 12 points still up for grabs, Roberts said: "We've just got to keep going game by game.
"It wouldn't have been the be-all or end-all had we lost here today as we'd have still been around the play-off places, and we've just got to worry about ourselves.
"We want to continue the good form. I think that's six unbeaten in the league now, so it's about doing the right things, ticking the games off and seeing where we are in four weeks.
"Leicester had a good result against Hinckley today and will be bouyant, but we shouldn't fear any side in this league wherever they are in the table."
Dan Cotton gave The Hares a 34th-minute lead in Leicestershire when he rounded the keeper for his 14th goal of the season.
Substitute Craig Gillies headed in his 23rd of the campaign after 76 minutes with his first touch and, five minutes into added-on time, Matty Foy curled home his 13th of the season.
"I thought we were superb all over the pitch," said Roberts.
"The pre-match tactics laid out by Ash were followed by every single player and everyone gave their all.
"Dotty (Dan Cotton) summed it up there at the end by saying you have to have a bit of determination and grit, and a little edge to win games like this.
"To come here against a team who are second in the league and a good, well-organised football side and to beat them 3-0 on their own patch is outstanding and credit to the lads and Ash for what he's put across to the players in the last week."
On the goals, Roberts, starting with Craig Gillies' and the Hares' second, added: "That's probably the best first touch you'll ever see.
"He comes on, goes straight up, and the ball comes over from Denny (Escorcio) and he guides it nicely into the corner.
"It was class from Matty for the last with a first-time half-volley guided over the goalkeeper. It was an outstanding finish, and from our view in the dugout, it was amazing.
"Our first goal was good as well. It was a great ball from Jack Saunders, which has split the line, and Dotty has gone around the goalkeeper to put us 1-0 ahead.”
