International races for March AC runners

March AC continued their participation in global events as a group headed to Lanzarote and another member completed the Angkor Wat Half Marathon in Cambodia.

The club had eight runners competing in distances ranging from 10km to a marathon in Lanzarote. All the runners performed brilliantly, especially given the tough nature of the course with windy conditions to tackle as well. The runners had a great time and managed to link up with the other local running clubs too.

Results: 10km – Dawn Goodley 54:25; half-marathon – Victoria May - 02:11:52, Dean Markillie 01:37:20, Sonia Witham 02:25:32, Jon Long 02:01:38, Steve Starr 02:37:49, Phil Beldom 01:57:41; marathon – Alan Brown 04:13:13.
