Leverington Ladies secure thrilling draw at league leaders

Leverington made their eagerly awaited return to S Tech Premier League action with a cracking 4-4 draw at leaders St Ives.

Leverington took the lead after three minutes , but the home team battled back to lead 2-1.

Leverington then had a succession of corners and defender Kaylie Swinden powered one of these home to level the game.

Shortly after, Shushannah Feast came off the bench and hit a dipping shot into the top corner to make it 3-2, but St Ives equalised before the break.

The home team made it 4-3 in the second half but Leverington pushed hard for the last 20 minutes and Feast again fired the ball into the roof of the net.

This weekend Leverington are at home to Netherton in what will be another tough game.
