Jade dedicates winner to nan

As the Hares ended 2014, winger Jade Pointer dedicated her winning goal to her number one fan, Nanny Illie.

Jade said: “My Nan always reads the match reports in the Citizen and was disappointed that we have only won once in our last five games. She also wondered when my name was going to appear again.”

Other Hares goals: Emma Frost, Emma Searle 2.

Manager Gary Davis said: “We had a lot of changes in the summer and it has taken a while for the new players to settle in.”

l March Town Ladies were invited to play in Cambs FA’s first Futsal Tournament at Cambridge University on Sunday. The Hares put in some strong performances, beating Cambridge Rangers (5-2), Milton (5-3) and drew with Sawston (6-6). The Ladies have now entered the competition for January 15 and are considering a club team for 2015-16.
