Winner Lee was treating half marathon as training run
Three Counties running Club member Lee Johnson, who is busy training for the Manchester Marathon in October, decided to treat the Cransley Hospice half marathon as a long training run.
This was the 20th anniversary of the event and sadly the final one. The race held at Cranford is to help raise money and awareness for Cransley Hospice in Kettering.
Lee took on the 77-runner field to cross the line in first place in a fantastic time of 1:27:09.
Club runner Tracy Adams decided to take on her first official marathon but didn’t take the easy option, choosing the beautiful yet very challenging Norfolk Coastal marathon.
Tracy had a fantastic run, finishing in a time of 5:19:38.
