Kanina O'Neil of March Athletics Club beats George Munday 10k record for her age category

March Athletics Club stars competed in the George Munday 10k at the weekend.

Kanina O’Neil led the way for the Fenland team and finished the second lady overall.

She ran her PB and also ran the course record for her age category.

Dean Markillie led the way for the men, just edging Barry Head in a well contested race. Henrik Stoner and Karen Dando produced fabulous performances to earn themselves new PBs.

Andrew Fovargue and Mark Darlow both produced their best runs of the year as their fierce rivalry continued, with Andrew pipping Mark to the finish line

Elsewhere, Carole Davis completed the Sandrigham 10k in 1:16:08.5 - while fellow club member Dawn Ball finished in 53:53.0.

Three March runners completed the Zig Zag Running Remembrance Marathon. Ryan Jarvis was first to finish in 3:47:41, and Oliver Goodwin and Michelle Prior finished in 5:15:19.

Ryan Jarvis has now completed 48 marathons this year, and Oliver Goodwin ran his 11th in as many months.

Four March runners ran the New York Marathon. Andy Cole and Mike Boxall were first over the line in 3:56:00 and 3:56:01.

Tricia Cole finished in 5:07:38 followed by Rachel Boxall in 5:35:55.

This was Andy’s third major marathon as he moves a step closer to running every one. He has run New York, Boston and Berlin so far.
