Tydd Gote match won by Kilby
In the last Sunday club match before lockdown it was good to see a few more fish turning up at the Tydd Gote AC stretch at Main Road.
In blustery but relatively mild conditions, Mike Smith on end peg eight and Andrew Kilby next door on seven found themselves into small silvers from the off to pinkie over groundbait.
They kept coming pretty much throughout the match, Kilby particularly capitalising on the feeding fish.
Elsewhere, things were slow with just the odd fish showing until two hours in when they turned up for Pete Emery on peg six and then Steve Borrett on five.
At the weigh in, Kilby put an impressive 11lb 2oz on the scales to take the win, Borrett taking second with 7lb 7oz, Smith third on 6lb 13.5oz and Emery fourth on 6lb 7oz.
Wednesday Open/Club match: 1 John Taylor 12oz; 2 Ian Benton 3.5oz; 3 Andy Toogood 1oz.
