Leverington Ladies 2, March Ladies 0

March and Leverington Ladies fought our a feisty battle in this local S Tech Premier League derby and it was a surprise there weren't more goals.

Leverington almost took the lead after 10 seconds with a through ball and Emily Sandell nearly scored at the other end in this really open game.

March's Eleanor McLeish forced a good save, with Leverington then hitting the post from a free kick.

Despite numerous chances, it looked like it was going to be goalless at half time but Leverington got two quick goals just before the break.

The Hares upped their game in the second half, but were unable to find their way past the Leverington defence.

McLeish hit an excellent half volley which forced a great save from the Leverington keeper and a perfect Emma Searle through ball just failed to get a connection from the Hares' forwards. Leverington always looked dangerous on the break and held out for the three points.
