March Golf Club members Emma Athow and Gail Arnold secure place in next round of Daily Mail foursomes competition

March Golf Club's Emma Athow and Gail Arnold have secured their place in the next round of the Daily Mail's knockout foursomes competition.

The pair took on Anne Edwards and Jennie Wood at Thorney Lakes, emerging as 2&1 winners despite giving their opponents 17 shots.

Emma said: "We knew we had to be focused as they had the home advantage and the shots, but we played well and never got ourselves in to any trouble."

The draw for the next round will take place at the end of May.
