Parson Drove joint-boss Robbie Harris is looking to pick up points away to UEA after a win over Sheringham

Parson Drove joint-boss Robbie Harris is hoping his side can put a string of results together after a 1-0 win over fourth-placed Sheringham.

Drove are now set to travel to UEA in Thurlow Nunn League First Division North action this Saturday (September 25), and Harris says he and Gary Haime's players will be full of confidence.

"That was the first of a tough three games, and we managed to get three points," he told The Citizen.

"There’s no reason why we can’t go to UEA and Harlston and get the same.

"It’s a personal one for me too, because their manager was my assistant when I was over at Fakenham. So there’s a little tie there.

"As long as we start well and keep it tight at the back, there’s no reason why we can’t get a result.

"We’ve proved that we can do it against the better teams. We’ve not always got the results, but performance-wise we’ve competed with them.

"It’s just about putting together the complete performance like we did on Saturday. Hopefully we can do that again this weekend."

Harris is looking for his players to take at least two points from their next two fixtures.

"I think that’ll set us up nicely for our next run of games, where we play a couple of teams that are a bit further down the table," he said.

"If we can get a few points from these next few games, hopefully that should give us some momentum."

Drove beat Sheringham 1-0 last Satrday after a 25th minute Ryan Lennon penalty, which Harris admitted was a little soft but just the stroke of luck they needed.

However, he was impressed with his sides' showing.

"It was very good. We thoroughly deserved the result as well, we played really well," he said.

"They didn’t really have many opportunities, we kept them at bay really well. We’re really pleased with the performance.

"Obviously we expected them to be slightly stronger than what they were. We controlled the first half really well.

"Although we didn’t have lots of opportunities ourselves in the second half, neither did they. We did well in game management this week, which is one of the things that’s been really lacking over the last couple of weeks.

"It was really pleasing that we could get over the line and not have one of the collapses that we’ve had in the last few games.

"We looked dangerous going forwards and we looked solid at the back.

"We’ve worked on a lot of things in the training ground and it’s been really nice to see that come to fruition on game day."
