Leverington make it four wins from four




Leverington Sports continued their 100 per cent start to the GCE Hire Fleet Peterborough League Premier Division season with a 4-3 home win against Stanground Sports on Saturday.

A brace from captain Kieran Hamilton and goals from Kieran Bates and Vadym Khakimov made it four wins out of four for Sports. On Wednesday evening, Leverington won 2-1 at home to Whittlesey Reserves, Dale Palmer and Ashley Symonds scoring.

Tydd are bottom, however, with five defeats from five. On Wednesday, they were thrashed 7-0 at Deeping Rangers Reserves and then on Saturday went down 3-2 at Holbeach United Reserves, Brandon Harker and Sam Cooper netting.

In Division One, unbeaten Chatteris Town had a wonderful 12-3 win at Stilton United, Sam Bond and Casey Stonnell-Fitzgerald scoring four each and braces for Aaron Ruscoe and Martin Saunders. On Wednesday they had beaten Glinton and Northborough 5-2, Bond, Christopher Matthews, Ruscoe, Stonnell-Fitzgerald and sub Jack McLoughlin on target.

In the same division, Long Sutton Athletic beat Glinton and Northborough 1-0, Jack Baker on target. On Wednesday The Magpies lost 3-2 at Wisbech Town Reserves, Robert Breide, Declan Foster and Dylan Rust on target for The Fenmen and two from Calvin Bird for Sutton.

Sutton Bridge made it two wins from two in Division Two, with a 3-2 home win over Deeping United Reserves, Ben Patridge netting twice and Matt Eaton also on target. Leverington Sports Reserves went down 4-1 at Stamford Lions, and Tydd Reserves were beaten 5-1 at home to Hampton.

Long Sutton Athletic Reserves lost 6-4 at Ketton in Division Three, Simon Adcock netting twice and Adam Crane and Rowen Smith also on target.

Leverington Sports A lost 6-2 at home to Stanground Sports Reserves, Craig Bradshaw and Swaley Stokes netting.

In the Cambs County League Premier Division, Wisbech St Mary were held to a 4-4 home draw by Hemingsfords United on Wednesday, Scott Drewery netting twice and Bradley Foxwell and Ben Jimson also on target.

March Town Reserves top Senior B after a 4-1 home win over Cottenham United on Wednesday evening. The visitors opened the scoring with a second-minute penalty with The Hares equalising through a Reece Thompson lob.

Harry Powley made it 2-1 with a 25-yarder and blasted in the third before sub Samuel Bedwell-Byatt wrapped up the win.

On the same night, Wimblington beat visiting Fenstanton 4-1, Alexander Knowles scoring two and Ben Matthews also on target, as well as an own goal.

Marshland Saints made it two wins from two in Division Five North of the Anglian Combination, winning 6-0 at Bradenham and Mattishal Reserves, Callum Rogers hitting four to make it seven already for him this season, and Lucas Flack and sub Steven Cooke also scoring.
