TCRC put out a fantastic field of 39 runners with 24 of them claiming PB’s

Three Counties Running Club had a fantastic turnout Sunday at the King's Lynn GEAR 10k and Mini GEAR event.

It started off with the 2k Mini Gear race where the Junior Girls were both taking the personal bests (PB) in their stride. Maisie Macdonald finished in a time of 8:04 (1.5-min PB) followed closely by Casey Grange finishing in a time of 8:37 (3-min PB).

TCRC put out a fantastic field of 39 runners with 24 of them claiming and smashing PB’s.

The club also had member Lee Johnson as one of the 45m pacers. It was his first time as a pacer but did a fantastic job getting the guys around him under the 45-minute finishing time.

There was a massive field of 2,328 runners in the 10k race with the TCRC Under-18 runner Morgan Harrison finishing in 22nd position with a fantastic PB of 36:47. Daniel Barnes was the next club finisher also getting his long awaited sub-40, finishing in a PB time of 39:40.

A little gap until the next flourish of club runners with Jonny Clark running a fantastic time and getting his PB 43:51. Lee Johnson as the 45m pacer was supporting Michelle Brown who was the first TCRC female member to finish also claiming a PB and getting her sub 45, finishing in a time of 44:42. Lee Johnson crossed as pacer in a time of 44:48 in a job well done.

TCRC had a long consistent stream of finishers with Nick Clarey next to cross the line in 45:15PB.

A fantastic day of results and achievements.

Junior Parkrun saw a field of 49 runners with 5 Junior Club Members running. First home for the club in 4th place was William Durkin 9:14 followed by Hayden Hall in 5th place in 9:22, Keira Fines 9:57, Isaac Western 10:49 and Laurence Durkin 22:09.

Other Parkrun results, King's Lynn: Tracey Else 3rd female and 2nd in age 25:38, Tracy Pratt 38:29, Jonny Clark 39:07.

Bournemouth: Steve Clarke 30:32CPB. March: Donna Johnson 34:47. Whittlesey: Melvin Green 35:15. Coldham’s Common: Steve Rhodes 22:52, Sandra Rhodes 32:20. Crowland: Justin Showell 23:22 (SC with Florence the dog).

Three Counties Running Club are next flying the flag at the Long Sutton 10k and Skegness Triathlon.
