Lee records super time of 40:56 and seventh place out of 357 runners among pine trees of forest




On a rather chilly Sunday morning three Three Counties Running Club members entered the Thetford Trail 10k Race.

The one-lap course ventured down winding trails through the picturesque pine trees of Thetford forest.

The first club member home in a superb time of 40:56 and seventh place out of 357 runners was Lee Johnson just four seconds off his PB. Team member and wife Sarah Johnson was next home in a PB of 55:07 followed by Sarah Melton-Whitelam in a great time of 57:01.

Junior Parkrun saw seven junior members finish the 2k run with Hayden Hall finishing first for the club in 9:53, then came William Durkin 10:16, Issac Western 11:32, Stephanie Harbord 12:06, Kallum Hall 14:12, Rowan Coultard 16:51 and Laurence Durkin 20:37.

Maisie Macdonald and Molli Western were both presented with their marathon certificates and wrists bands for running in 21 events.

This Saturday, December 22, sees TCRC’s annual 1k and 5k Santa Run at Wisbech Park. There is something for everyone with stalls, games, food and bouncy castle. See Three Counties website or Facebook page for details.
