New set-up looks to develop existing players and attract new ones

Long Sutton Hockey Club ladies’ and men’s sections have a new coaching set-up for the new season.

The club is looking to help existing players to develop as well as attract new players.

The ladies’ section consists of two teams and trains on Wednesdays from 7pm at the Peele Leisure Centre, Long Sutton, the first session being Wednesday, August 1.

The ladies have just secured National League player Neil Evans on a two-year coaching deal and are looking forward to further improving both teams, a process he began last season.

Neil has a wide coaching experience and looks to help both teams push for promotion.

His coaching skills cover the whole range, from beginner to National League standard

The three-team men’s section trains on Tuesdays from 7pm at the Peele Leisure Centre, starting Tuesday, July 31.

They have secured Mike Yeoman (pictured) on a two-year coaching deal from this year.

Mike is a full senior international player who can boast over 40 years as a coach and has recently guided Peterborough men’s 1st team to the National League.

The March and District Dominoes League annual meeting will be held at March Conservative Club on Tuesday, August 7 at 8pm.
