By Pete Woodhouse

Long Sutton Hockey Club finished off their season on a high with a well turned out presentation evening on Saturday.

The club came together to celebrate in style to show what a tremendous season has occurred.

The club stated: "With a club full of both experience and youth it was fantastic to see the awards get shared between the ages.

"With the Men's 2nds winning their league and gaining promotion in 3NW league and the rest of the teams finishing mid-table it is certainly a season worth remembering.

"There have been outstanding performances from all teams with some incredible wins but also some losses.

"No matter what happened the teams fought hard week after week and showed grit and determination which is something the club is proud of.

"Well done to all award winners but also well done to every single player. Long Sutton Hockey Club would like to say thank you to all players, parents, supporters, coaches, umpires and everyone else involved within the club."

Long Sutton HC are still running their Walking Hockey (9.30-10.15am) and Back to Hockey (10.15-11am) course every Saturday until the end of May if you would like to join – only £2 a session.
