Long Sutton finally got the Premier B win they have been looking for with a hard-fought victory.

Sutton quickly took the lead with Ben Shore picking out strike partner Danny Sisson who rounded the keeper and slotted home. In a half of relatively few chances the hosts struck with a fine breakaway goal.

The second half saw good moves down the right that allowed Sisson the opportunity to complete a hat-trick. Sutton allowed the home team back into the game by conceding two goals in quick succession and needed returning keeper Steve Kirkham to be at his best to stop them falling behind.

A good move upfield allowed Sisson to spin before smashing home into the bottom corner for a fourth goal.

Felixstowe subbed their goalkeeper, who reappeared to try and keep out a penalty stroke. Josh Fyson retained his composure and calmly slotted home. Sutton held on with Felixstowe claiming a consolation goal.

Cambridge City 6ths 2 LSHC 3rd 0

With players returning (Albert Slator and Adam Taylor) and new players (Matt and Kane Portass) joining this week, it looked a promising start.

Cambridge scored in each half while Sutton had chances through Matt Portass.
