Three Counties Running Club's Alice Ingman travels to Florida for Celebration Town half marathon
Three Counties Running Club Members travelled far and wide to take part in very different races.
Alice Ingman took part in the tenth anniversary of the Celebration Town half marathon in Florida.
It meanders through the town of Celebration, and is located five minutes from Disney World and 20 minutes from the Orlando International Airport.
The aim of the event is to raise a minimum of $35,000 in order to fund scholarships for high school seniors across Osceola County.
There was plenty of amazing support from locals around the route.
Alice only arrived in Florida three days before the race, and so she was glad to get it done.
She finished in an official time 2:32:20.
Meanwhile, Steve Clarke took part in the Leicester 10k.
This event started and finished in Jubilee Square, running though the city then around Victoria Park and Leicester University.
It was a very undulating coarse with a field of about 800 runners.
Steve ran this as a deferral from GEAR 2022 in King’s Lynn due to illness.
He had a great run, finishing in an excellent time of 1:05:08 – and even had his picture taken with The Mayor of Leicester.
