March Squash Club celebrated its 40th anniversary at the weekend
March Squash Club celebrated its 40th anniversary at the weekend.
Players past and present gathered at March Town Cricket Club on Saturday evening for a three course dinner, which was prepared by Richardson's Catering.
Former first team captains and chairmen Ed Lefevre and Ray Pescud delivered a speech about the squash club, which was founded in 1979, the formation of its courts, and their first matches in 1981.
Numerous players were mentioned by the two men, with all of them playing important roles throughout the past four decades.
Highlights for the club have included winning the Cambridgeshire Squash League on multiple occasions.
A charity draw was also held on the night, with £200 raised for Young People March.
