Veteran performer in oval racing is a previous F2 Stock Car World Champion
The 65th 2019 BriSCA F1 Stock Car season has its national start this coming Saturday (5.30pm) – and all roads will head to King’s Lynn’s Adrian Flux Arena where the green flag falls on the formula which is called the “King of the Ovals”, writes Paul Butler.
It is a big year for the formula locally with the World Final being staged at Lynn this September.
March based Daz Kitson and Callum Oakes-Kitson will both be making their season debuts in the formula.
Daz is a veteran performer in oval racing and is a previous F2 Stock Car World Champion as well as accomplished Banger Racer. Daz has been in action in the F1 Stock Cars for a couple of seasons where he has more than held his own and he will be looking to make a great start to the 2019 season. Callum on the other hand has limited oval racing experience and this will be the first time he has raced at F1 Stock Car at King’s Lynn. His mentor has plenty of experience though and it will surely not be long before he starts getting to grip with the V8 beasts.
The F1 Stock Cars will also be racing in the Teng Tools White & Yellow Final at King’s Lynn on Saturday night which Kitson has qualified for and following success in a number of White & Yellow races at King’s Lynn last year he will be confident of putting in a good performance in this race.
Also racing at King’s Lynn on Saturday are the 2L Stock Cars and BriSCA MiniStox in what will be an all Stock Car Racing display.
In the 2L Stock Cars Tommy Parrin will be looking to bounce back from last Saturday at Mildenhall where he was involved in a big incident which saw him end up being followed into the fence by European Champion Diggy Smith – with revenge be on Tommy’s mind this Saturday?
