March ladies qualify for London 2017
Debra Wait, chairlady of March AC, was first runner home for March AC in Sunday’s Virgin Money London Marathon in a time of 3:09:22, followed by Geraldine Larham netting a PB in 3:11:54 and Karen Patterson a PB in 3:14:23.
This means that the three ladies now qualify to start on the championship line for London 2017.
Of the seven runners from March AC taking to the streets of London this year, four of them bagged PBs and Teilo Pearce took part in his first marathon.
Other times were: Justin Elvidge PB in 3:17:11; Amy Ellis PB in 4:22:52; Pat Norris 4:54:02 and Pearce 4:57:00.
n After Manchester and Brighton runners and supporters from Fenland Running Club headed for the capital among the almost 40,000 finishing runners.
Five runners represented the club and first home with a superb new PB was Ryan Jones finishing 1,361st in a time of 2:55:50. Jay Gilbert was the happy recipient of the place given to FRC by England Athletics and smashed her previous best marathon time by almost 12 minutes, finishing 12,496th in 3:55:02.
Other FRC times: Paul Griffin 3,245th PB of 3:10:17, Sarah Gauvin 6,960th in 3:32:03, Pamela Reynolds, running her first marathon, 19,242nd in 4:19:35.
