March Athletic Club participants turn their attentions to the Frostbite League





March Athletics Club members competed in the Frostbite Friendly League.

The club performed fantastically with the seniors moving into sixth place and the juniors sitting in fourth place.

The juniors started things well. Archie Bullman was first home in 09:59 followed by Matthew Cumbridge in 10:46.

Kai Stoner rounded up the scoring boys as he came home in third place for the club.

Liberty Sibthorp was first girl as she completed the tough course in 11:32.

The juniors had to tackle two laps of the field with strong winds. Maisie Whittlesey was next to cross the line before Sasha Bland was third girl through the funnel.

Glen Watts led the way for the adults as he produced a superb run to claim second place overall in 27:57.

Brother, Dan Watts was through the finish funnel shorty after in 28:31.

William Bradley was third home as he finished in 31 minutes on a tough course.

As well as the persistent wind the seniors had lots of mud and water to deal with along the way.

Tim Brammer was next back with Henrik Stoner and Serge Lambert soon after. Both achieved new frostbite PBs.

Michelle Prior was sixth and first lady to continue her string of fine performances.

Andrew Wool was the last scorer for March men. Karen Patterson had a fantastic run to see herself through over the line in just over 41 minutes.

Tina Lambert was next with another strong run in 42:26.
