March AC runners up for Happy Hour Challenge
With the nights beginning to pull in and the clocks having been put back an hour, March Athletics Club decided to set its members a Happy Hour Challenge.
Spending the extra hour of Sunday (25) going for a run, it turned out to be a great success, with many different club runners taking part in the challenge.
A total of 27 runners accepted the challenge, with some running solo and others running in socially distanced groups of up to six runners.
The test itself was to see who could run the furthest in an hour on the day when the clocks were changed to Greenwich Mean Time, with the winner of the challenge proving to be whoever ran the furthest.
The overall winner of the challenge was Toni Alcaraz who managed a very impressive 9.31 miles, while coming in second was Andy Cole who clocked up 9.15 miles and in third place was Andrew Larham who managed to run 8.88 miles.
A special mention to March AC junior runner, Serge Lambert who also did the challenge and managed to achieve an absolutely brilliant 6.48 miles.
