March swimmers take part in fundraiser based on 2024 Paris Olympics
March Marlins swimmers took part in the annual sponsored swim instead of their usual training sessions last week.
Last year, the swimmers managed a record 9,758 lengths of the pool so this year set their target to 10,000 lengths.
Also, this year, to coincide with the 2024 Olympics in Paris, the coaches split the swimmers into six different teams representing different countries.
All the swimmers put in incredible effort in the pool, which was well decorated with flags and swam up and down as many times as they could in the given time for their team.
This helped to raise much-needed funds for the club and saw them smash the target of 10,000 lengths.
The club appreciates the generosity of the family and friends of the Marlins who have made kind donations for the swimmers already.
For those who would like to support the Marlins, the information to donate can be found on the Marlins official Facebook page.
