March At Bourne Frostbite

March AC junior and senior teams scored highly and increased their position in the Frostbite League at Bourne.

The Juniors came seventh on the day out of 15 clubs, pushing them to 10th overall in the league, while the Seniors took 8th out of 16 which means they are currently 11th.

Hugo Bryant was first home for the juniors, completing the 1.5-mile course in 38th place out of 186 runners. Sophie Fenner was the first girl home for the team in 13.19.

For the seniors Mick Stacey had a cracking run, finishing the 5-mile hilly and boggy course in 46th overall.

* First home of the 26 Fenland Running Club members was back in form Martin Jennings who was 33rd in a field of 406, first lady was club coach Sarah Gauvin who was 185th. The scoring team of 10 finished in 12th which means FRC slipped one place to 12th overall.

The previous Sunday, Stephen Brunton and Gill Holmes took part in the Brass Monkey 10K at Rockingham Speedway in Corby in aid of the Lakelands Hospice, Corby. Stephen finished 368th in 1:05:55 and Gill was 417th in 1:13:51.
