Hares manager Brett Whaley said conceding quick goals is a problem
Three quick goals conceded meant March Town United lost their Thurlow Nunn League First Division North top-of-the-table clash at Mulbarton Wanderers on Saturday.
Mulbarton are in second spot, just a point behind leaders Harleston Town, and they proved just a bit too much for the fourth-position Hares, who are on 46 points from 24 games and are now two points adrift of Swaffham Town, who have two games in hand.
Hares manager Brett Whaley said: “If you concede three goals in 10 minutes you won’t get much from a game, and it’s a problem we’ve had all season.
“Massively disappointing that it’s happened again in such an important game and it’s something we need to improve on.”
Attendance: 78.
Wisbech St Mary suffered their third defeat in a row, 3-0 at seventh-placed Lakenheath, and had Thembelani Nkala dismissed.
Saints are fourth from bottom. Attendance: 91.
Next Saturday March entertain near-neighbours Downham Town, who are in eighth position. Wisbech St Mary have a trip into north-west Norfolk to Fakenham, who lie in sixth.
