Younger swimmers get their chance as March club hosts another round of club championships

March Marlins hosted another instalment of its Club Championships.

Most competitions only allow swimmers aged over nine years old, but this event provided opportunities for younger swimmers.

Eight youngsters were debuting in competitive swimming and many of the swimmers managed to achieve their PBs after weeks of hard training.

A huge thank you goes to club committee member Fran Rickard who has worked so hard to organise the rounds of the Club Championship for yet another year, alongside the help of committee members, volunteers and coaches.

There were parents, children, siblings and other swimmers' relay races at the end to finish off the series of races.

They all swam hard, cheered loudly and created a great team atmosphere.

In the morning, 12 swimmers attended the March remembrance parade.

Junior captain Kitty Payne laid the wreath on behalf of the club.
