March swimmers take on rivals from Deben, Huntingdon and Newmarket in latest gala

The March Marlins Blue Army attended the Novice Gala at Newmarket on Saturday, competing against swimming clubs from Deben, Huntingdon and Newmarket.

There were a lot of swimmers making their debut in the competition and they showed great bravery and put forward great performances.

Once again, the team showed wonderful team spirit, cheering loudly for their teammates.

The parents and coaches got involved by taking part in their relay making it a whole club experience. The team was placed third rewarding the huge efforts of the swimmers.

Elsewhere, one of the club's star swimmers, Jude Staton, had the honour of competing at the Swim England East Region Winter Championships in Luton.

The event had no age categories and swimmers needed to meet one of the set qualification times to be able to compete.

Staton managed to qualify for 50m, 100m and 200m backstroke and demonstrated his top-class skills again.
