Parson Drove pay the penalty for missed spot-kick at home to Framlingham Town

There were still positives to take for Parson Drove boss Arran Duke after seeing his side slip to a 3-0 home defeat against title hopefuls Framlingham Town.

Drove struck the post from the penalty spot on the hour mark in the Thurlow Nunn Eastern Counties League First Division North encounter when just 1-0 down.

Ultimately, their penalty miss proved to be the turning point in the game.

After the game, Drove manager Arran Duke said: "It was a game of missed chances and unfortunately we missed a penalty at 1-0 down.

"It took the belief out of us a little we could get back into it a little bit.

"Framlingham are a side that always finds themselves at the top end of the league and felt like we competed well with them for large periods of the game just lacked that final product in front of goal."

Drove sit 15th in the league standings after winning one and losing two of their opening three fixtures.

Parson Drove entertain Whitton United next Saturday.
