New Year’s Eve saw 20 March AC runners take the short trip over to a very wet and muddy Ferry Meadows in Peterborough for the annual Advance Performance New Year’s Eve 10k race.

The scenic course included some very soggy underfoot conditions and took runners around a surprisingly hilly course and over the notoriously bouncy bridge, which can leave runners feeling rather queasy as it undulates up and down with the weight of 870 runners pounding over it.

First home for March AC, in a notable 44th position, was Andy Cole in 40:13:1 and first home for March ladies was Kanina O’Neil in 41:52:1, both leading the club home as they have made a habit of doing throughout 2021.
