Estover Park 7,

Wisbech Acorns 1

March-based Park played some lovely pass-and-move football utilising the pace on the wings to cause concerns to the Acorns’ defence.

Two composed finishes from Amy Newell, one from Erin Powell from close range, Fran Plitsch battling through to score and Jess Harvey with a 20-yard pile-driver saw them 5-0 up at half-time. The Park keeper and defence held Wisbech at bay in this derby.

Wisbech Acorns came out stronger in the second half and battled well against a complacent Park.

Acorns pulled a goal back from a well-worked corner resulting in a headed finish.

Park got back on top with Newell securing her hat-trick and Danni Green finished the scoring, pouncing on a shot which was well saved by the Acorns keeper.

Milton 3,

March Town Ladies 1

In treacherous conditions, the Hares took a deserved lead through a 25-yarder from Anna Hatcher, but despite good possession, Milton scored an equaliser on the stroke of half-time.

The opposition took an early lead in the second half and the Milton keeper made an amazing point blank save from Emma Frost.

The Hares were killed off with a late third as they pushed for an equaliser.

Joint PoM: Carly Oakley & Hannah Johnson.
