Nigel Marlow completed the course in a respectable time of 1hr54min44sec, finishing 410th overall from a field of 1,064 and 16th in his age category.

Marlow said: “It was a lovely course with a mixture of road and off-road made all the better by the sun making an appearance.”

The Frostbite League was concluded with the sixth meeting hosted by BRJ Run Tri at Jubilee Park on what proved to be yet another challenging course with lots of mud for all 331 runners to enjoy while completing the five-mile course.

Fenland numbers were down on previous events, mainly driven by the arrival of the marathon season and training schedules. However, this did not prevent the club being represented by 11 members who produced a fine team result that left the club finishing the season in a creditable ninth spot overall.

Pete Lunt, Ant Kennedy, Tom Richards, Carol Bowett, Leah Banks, Andrew Baldwin, Maire Kay, Jac Richards, Ian King, Carly Read and Gilly Anderson all took part.
