No games beat the weather on a washout Saturday




There was a cricket washout on Saturday with two games being abandoned and all other matches involving Fenland sides being cancelled because of heavy rainfall.

In the East Anglian Premier League, Wisbech’s game at Bury St Edmunds was called off with the hosts at 137-5 from 31 overs. George Gowler had taken 2-30 and George Bruce 2-40, both from seven overs, with Kieran Haynes 1-31 from 11.

March’s game at Old Leysians in the Cambs & Hunts Premier League Whitings League Division One was also abandoned, with the home side on 117-2 from 24 overs. Callum Young took 1-21 from six overs and Samuel Clarke 1-40 from seven.
