FA shake-up good news for March, Parson Drove and Wisbech
Changes to the structure of non league football announced this afternoon (Tuesday) see March Town and FC Parson Drove promoted and Wisbech Town moved sideways into a newly created,more regionalised league.
The Fenmen will now line up in the Step 4 Midlands Division of the Northern Premier League, alongside the likes of Yaxley, Stamford, Spalding United, Soham Town Rangers, Histon and Cambridge City.
The Hares move up to the Step 5 Eastern Counties League Premier Division, where they will pit their wits against teams such as Ely City, Newmarket Town, Mildenhall Town and Haverhill Rovers.
And Drove have moved up from the Peterborough League to the Step 6 Division One North of the Eastern Counties League, alongside near rivals Wisbech St Mary. Other teams in that division include Downham Town, Huntingdon, King's Lynn Town Reserves, Peterborough North End Sports and Whittlesey Athletic.
Northern Premier League Midlands Division: Bedworth, Belper, Cambridge City, Carlton, Chasetown, Coleshill, Corby, Daventry, Halesowen, Histon, Ilkeston, Loughborough Dynamo, Shepshed Dynamo, Soham Town, Spalding United, Sporting Khalsa, Stamford, Sutton Coldfield, Wisbech Town, Yaxley.
Eastern Counties League Premier Division: Brantham Athletic, Ely City, Fakenham Town, Gorleston, Hadleigh United, Haverhill Rovers, Lakenheath, Long Melford, March Town United, Mildenhall Town, Mulbarton Wanderers, Newmarket Town, Norwich United, Swaffham Town, Thetford Town, Walsham le Willows, Whitton United, Woodbridge Town, Wroxham.
Eastern Counties League Division One: Blackstones, Bourne, Debenham, Diss, Downham, FC Parson Drove, Framlingham, Great Yarmouth, Harlestone, Huntingdon, Ipswich Wanderers, King's Lynn Town Reserves, Leiston Reserves, Needham Market Reserves, Norwich CBS, Peterborough North End Sports, Sheringham, UEA, Whittlesey, Wisbech St Mary.
