Oli Simmonds won from Peg 35 at Tydd Gote Angling Club's club match on Sunday

Peg 35 once again proved the place to be at the latest Tydd Gote Sunday club match.

A variety of participants have seen success in recent weeks from the favoured casting spot.

On the North level at Main Road, Oli Simmonds led the way with some impressive angling.

However, it wasn’t the usual bream that were proving to be the popular catches.

Instead, quality roach were aplenty - with Simmonds catching 4lb 14oz of the lovely red-fins in his net.

He successfully used pinkie over ground bait to scoop the afternoon’s top prize.

Elsewhere at Peg 25, Sammy McSpadden managed to take second place after employing similar tactics to Simmonds.

He caught 3lb 7oz of small silvers to do so.

Dennis Houghton, from Peg 23, was in third spot with just 11oz.
