Chatteris club hosts half-term events for all

It was a fun-packed week at Chatteris Tennis Club during the half-term holiday.

Throughout the week, special events for all the family were held in addition to the club’s usual tennis programme.

On Saturday, more than 40 children, teenagers and adults coaching at the club enjoyed a night of Halloween tennis fun dressed in Halloween costumes.

The club’s coach organised the event, Lisa Kennedy, supported by Kathryn Booth, club secretary, with the event concluding with prizes for the best fancy dress costumes presented to Charlie Fox and Max Freeman.

Halloween goodies were presented to all the children who participated in the event.

Also, during the week, two ‘Family Fun mornings’ were held, which proved equally popular attracting 29 children together with their parents and grandparents to each event.

With four floodlit hard courts, a clubhouse, toilets, free on-site parking and the LK Tennis Academy, the club's facilities are in use seven days a week.

Club sessions are held every Sunday morning, Monday and Wednesday evenings, together with an extensive programme of coaching for all ages and abilities.

They also offer a ‘Walking Tennis’ session. Members can book courts at all other times during the week for additional play.
