Prize night at Wisbech Rugby Club
Wisbech Rugby Club held its annual awards evening dinner for senior players and guests, hosted by Wildcats captain Olly Mackett.
Club captain David Wadsley handed out the awards to players, officials and members.
The evening was about recognising the players and club volunteers, but also a celebration of the club’s success on the pitch, with the 1st XV winning the their league and being crowned Counties 2 Eastern Counties champions.
This achievement will see the 1st XV being promoted and the club will be playing at the highest league level it has ever played.
Wadsley said: “It was great to see the awards going to all the players and members of the club that worked tirelessly on and off the field to achieve a great success for the whole club in winning the league.
“This was a truly fantastic achievement to mark the club’s 75th anniversary. Local players have stuck together, improving the team spirit, ready to carry this into next season.”

Most Promising Young Player: Ty Tooke.
Chairman’s Cup: Luke Hare (for his dedicated contribution to coaching junior players on Sundays).
