Banger racing returns to King's Lynn Adrian Flux Arena for January 2023 - with James Liquorice in action

Banger racing returns to the Adrian Flux Arena at King’s Lynn for the first time in 2023 this Sunday.

One of the biggest meetings of the season is being staged with the 29th running of the Unlimited Banger Icebreaker - and with over 100 cars once again booked in, a great afternoon’s entertainment is on the cards.

The Icebreaker is what the British Open Team Championship is best known for, and Sunday’s event will see teams of up to four cars doing battle.

James Licquorice put in a great display for the Dover Boys at last year’s Icebreaker which helped the team into second place in the Entertainer Points.

The good form for both James and the team continued as the season went on, and the team excelled at the end of season Micro Banger East Anglian Teams meeting when they won the Entertainer Points for the competition.

With a team full of drivers who can both win and crash, they will be short-priced to do either.

Fans were delighted to see Mark Freeman back out on track in the Unlimited Bangers for the first time in over a decade at the Nutcracker last month.

Freeman showed he has lost none of his prowess around the track with some great drives and he will captain Team OMB - which also includes local star Dan Clarke.

Tom Waller, who has recently made Wisbech his home, will be in action for pre-meeting favourites Team Extreme - and Lee Barnes is in action for The Entertainment.

Racing also comes from the Junior Bangers, with the entry card including Levi Murkin, Rhys Parrin, Jade Ellis, Riley Crowson and Lincoln

Douglas.

Racing will start at midday this Sunday.
