Swaffham come to Harecroft Road for the first time playing this age group
On a glorious sunny morning Swaffham came to Wisbech for the first time playing the Wisbech Under-12’s.
Before the first game got underway both teams lined up together to do a pitch walk making sure there was no litter, glass or other surprises on the field of play.
The first game got underway with both teams showing good running lines and tackles.
Wisbech took an early advantage running in three unanswered tries, however once Swaffham settled in they showed some great courage to bring the game back and narrowly edged Wisbech by the final whistle.
The second game was then turned on its head with all coaches deciding on a 'barbarians' game.
Both teams were split evenly which levelled the sides up and encouraged some great forwards play, offloads producing some fantastic tries from both sides.
All in all a great day's rugby, with a lot of sportsmanship and pride in wearing their club shirts on show.
Coach Ian Luck said: "Well done to all, you have done your coaches proud."
