March runners smash their PBs




At the Peterborough Grand Prix 5K Series several March AC stars smashed PBs.

In warm conditons and with lots of hills to tackle, Andrew Jakeman was second in the race, finishing in 15:58.

Kanina O’Neil was first lady home for March and second overall as she performed brilliantly again to smash her PB, which currently stands at 18:13.

Glenn Watts was second home for March in 16:27. Steven Robinett starred with a new PB of 18:, along with Dean Markillie, who bettered his previous time by 24 seconds to move within three seconds of the 20 minute mark. Oliver Goodwin earned another PB to continue his fab form.

Ryan Jarvis completed his 31st Marathon of the year, finishing in 4:26:34 at the Ricky Races event. Ryan then competed in the Stratford-Upon-Avon Beer Relay. He was part of the’ 50 Shades of Scrambled Legs’ team for the eight-mile relay. Ryan completed his two mile leg in 13:05, and then ran then ran a half marathon in 1:59.

  • Jason Mottram ran the tough, hilly Brighton Trail marathon in 5:11:01.
  • At the Abbey 10K in Ramsey, Kanina O’Neil led the way for March AC, finishing in 39:31. Andy Cole was first home in his age category to make it three awards in the last three Abbey 10k events as he finished in 39:47. Plenty of silverware was achieved as Steve Robinett, Toni Alcaraz and Karen Patterson were first finishers in their age categories.   • March AC Juniors performed fabulously in the 2.4 kilometre fun run. March took positions 2,3,4 and 5 with strong performances. Serge Lambert led the way for the speedy stars in 9:35.
