Leverington Three Counties Running Club's Tracey Else's Newtons Fraction run at Grantham is no half-measure
Sunday saw Three Counties Running Club member Tracey Else take on the 14th Newtons Fraction Half-Marathon at Grantham.
The race is organised by Grantham AC, starting and finishing on the South Kesteven Sports Stadium track.
The 13.1-mile route heads out of the town into the countryside, onto the Grantham to Nottingham Canal towpath for three miles to Woolsthorpe-by-Belvoir, taking in a couple of testing hills before returning to the stadium.
Tracey finished in a great time of 2:01:53, giving her a good marker for the Perkins Half in October.
Jonny and Jodie Clark travelled to Rome to take part in a lovely trail Parkrun at Caffarella – a beautiful warm day with very welcoming marshals and lovely scenery. Jonny finished in a great time of 22:14 and Jodie in a great sub 30 of 29:57.
There were 12 Junior TCRC members in the 46-runner field at Wisbech Junior Parkrun on Sunday. First home overall and for TCRC was Alex Wilson 7:26, followed by his brother Jamie in second place in 7:50, Zoe Wilson 8:26, Hayden Hall 10:13, Kallum Hall 10:19PB, Isaac Western 10:43, Daniel Beitans 11:15, Stephanie Harbord 11:29, Luke Wilson 12:14, Tyler Barnes 12:39PB, Callum Bates 14:11 and Emma Wilson 15:41.
