Three Counties Running Club host food bank event and Joely Apps runs 250th parkrun

Sarah-Jane Macdonald inspired a Three Counties Running Club Food Bank Run at the weekend.

After taking notice of national events, she organised a 10k and four-mile club run – and everyone who came along brought something which could be donated.

Sarah-Jane said: “I want to say a massive thank you to the members who supported this event. Times are hard for everyone but we all came together to donate a lot of items. I’m overwhelmed and so grateful at peoples’ generosity.”

Items will be shared between the food bank at Wisbech Baptist Church and the Long Sutton Food Larder.

Elsewhere, club member Joely Apps celebrated the massive achievement of running her 250th parkrun on Saturday at Boston.

She was handed a commemorative shirt for the occasion.
