They came, they ran, they conquered: this was the motto on Sunday at The Cambridge Saucony Half Marathon and was inscribed on the fantastic medals which all runners received at the finish.

There was a field of 10,000 runners taking to the streets of Cambridge where the race started and finished at Midsummer Common but this year there was a change to some of the route with some of the race entering the beautiful grounds of Kings College.

Whilst queuing up in the starting pens for the off the weather was very cold, a bit windy and the skies were grey but they soon changed when out on route. The weather changed to full on sunshine and a slight breeze in places.
