Running miles out of March
March Athletic Club runners were challenged to see how far out of the town they could get, albeit virtually.
Over a two-week period, members were allowed to submit one running activity per day, with the challenge ending on Sunday, March 28, the last day of the stay at home rule.
The challenge was supported by 31 club members, who saw the event as a way of building back up fitness levels ahead of the club sessions reopening from March 30.
To make this a truly inclusive event, injured members were allowed to submit a daily walk instead of a daily run.
The club clocked up over 2,200 miles and finished the challenge in the harbour city of Antaya on the southern coast of Turkey!
Overall winner was Dean Markillie, who clocked up a phenomenal 143.88 miles in 14 days.
Winner of the most miles in one activity with 22 miles was Geraldine Larham, who was also the first female entrant.
Three other runners also managed a 20-mile effort: on one of the days: Nial Jackson, Andy Cole and Mike Blackledge.
