Heavy defeat for Wisbech St Mary

Fakenham Town 5, Wisbech St Mary 0

Thurlow One League first division north

Saints' three games without defeat came to a cruel end with a heavy loss at Clipbush Park on Friday evening.

Kick-off was delayed after Wisbech St Mary had mini-bus troubles on the journey but it was an even first half before Connor Charlesworth put the Ghosts 1-0 up on 31 minutes.

They increased their lead 11 minutes into the second half through Lewis Sturman and things then got worse for the visitors after when keeper Dan Smith was sin binned for swearing.

It was 3-0 when Josh Youngs netted an 83rd minute penalty and Connor Charlesworth fired home the fourth from the edge of the box on 86 minutes. An excellent 89th minute free kick from Callum Brain completed the scoring.

Attendance: 105.
