Defeats for Wisbech, March and Wisbech St Mary
All three local senior sides lost games this afternoon that they had at one stage led.
Wisbech Town went down 3-2 at home to Chasetown after leading 2-0, March Town also blew a two-goal lead to lose 3-2 at Cornard United and Wisbech St Mary were 3-2 up at home against Framlingham Town, only to lose 5-4.
At the Elgood's Stadium, goals from new signing Georgito Mulonda after 17 minutes and Danny Draper after 37 minutes saw the Fenmen lead 2-0 at half time against fellow Bet Victor Northern Premier League south east division strugglers Chasetown. But second half goals from Jack Langston (46), Joe Brown (49) and Kieran Brown saw Wisbech drop to the bottom of the table.
March drop to sixth in the Thurlow Nunn Eastern Counties League division one north after a 3-2 defeat at mid-table Cornard United. Craig Gillies gave the Hares a first half lead from the penalty spot with his 19th of the season and Jack Friend scored his 27th to make it 2-0 at half time, only for two Andy Fisher goals and one from Jack Durey to give the home team the points.
In the same division, Wisbech St Mary stay rock bottom after losing a nine-goal thriller against Framlingham, who rise to 17th. Corey Kingston gave Saints a 35th minute lead but Cion Wren equalised for the Castlemen in first half injury time.
Jon Fryatt put the visitors ahead after 46 minutes, only for Kingston to make it 2-2 four minutes later. New signing Jermaine Watson made it 3-2 to the Saints after 54 minutes, but then Fryatt (62, 80) and Ling (82) put the visitors 5-3 up, before Dan Hempson netted for Wisbech St Mary in the 89th minute.
In the Peterborough League premier division, Tydd FC remain bottom of the table after a battling 2-1 defeat at second place Moulton Harrox, and Leverington Sports are one place above them after going down 1-0 at home to fellow strugglers Ketton.
In the Peterborough League Cup, division three side Parson Drove Reserves beat division one opposition Peterborough Northern Star Reserves 3-0, with goals from Kensey Carter (2) and Dale Parnell.
In the Peterborough Junior Cup, division two side Long Sutton Athletic Reserves went down 3-1 at Thorpe Wood Rangers, from the same division. In division three Tydd Reserves beat Uppingham Town Reserves 2-1.
In the Cambridgeshire League senior A division, March Reserves went down 4-1 at home to Somersham Town.
