LEARN MOREIt was a mixed afternoon for our teams in the Thurlow Nunn Eastern Counties League this afternoon.
March Town recorded a brilliant 3-0 win at First Division North league leaders Downham Town but Wisbech St Mary surrendered a 2-0 half time lead to lose 3-2 away to King's Lynn Reserves.
Goals from Jack Saunders, Craig Gillies and Jack Friend saw March climb up to sixth, just three points off the promotion places with two games in hand.
But poor Wisbech St Mary are now eight points adrift at the bottom after going down to a last minute goal. They also missed a penalty in each half.
